Led by: Fr. Nicholas Blackwell, O. Carm.

Fr. Nicholas Blackwell, a Carmelite friar was born and raised in rural Michigan.  Fr, Nicholas was ordained at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Middletown, New York in 2017.  He now lives and ministers in New York.

Fr. Blackwell received a Bachelor’s degree in history from Northern Michigan University and his Master of Divinity degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., where he was involved with the Catholic Campus Ministry.  He served in Gambia with the Peace Corps for one year after college. He is currently the Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Middletown, NY and is a member of the St. Elias Province.

In addition to his responsibilities, Fr. Nicholas is also studying Canon Law at The Catholic University of America. He is also the Associate Vocation Director and has been published in magazines like OSV The Priest.
